Taurus 2KQE: Electronic Multi-Position Underpinner
- Versatility
- The 2KQE is the most versatile gallery underpinner
on the market today, allowing the operator to join
a wide variety of moulding sizes, styles and species.
The head can be positioned in 9 different locations,
allowing assembly of over five inch wide
moulding.
Up to three fasteners can be stacked per location,
and fasteners can be inserted up to 6” from
the outside of the frame.
- PLC
Operation – Can store up to 1200 programs.
- Simplified
Programming – The 2KQE utlizes the
most simplified programming of any
electronic underpinner. The operator “teaches” the
machine the program by positioning
the head and depressing the
foot pedal.
- Talon
Fasteners – These horseshoe shaped fasteners
are a hybrid of the traditional
v-nail and corrugated nail and have tremendous pulling
power. Talon nails
are extremely versatile in joining
plastic, hardwood, softwood and MDF.

- Patented
Vertical Hold Down – Maximum gripping
and alignment of the patented
taurus head push the workpiece together tightly while
the fasteners are
inserted. Optional clamps
include hydraulic self-balancing clamping system for
wide moulding and multi-pin clamping
head for intricate profiles
(Conforms to the shape of the profile without damaging
the moulding).
- Removable
Cartridges – Each machine comes with
5, 7, 10, 12, and 15
mm cartridges. These are easily removed from the
machine
for quick changeover.
- Quality
Engineered Parts – The head and thick
nail drivers are
precision manufactured from high quality steel and are
easily removed for maintenance.
- Technical
and Parts Support – We fully support
these machines
with a large inventory of fasteners and spare parts in
our Little Rock, Arkansas warehouse.
