The foil or film for hot stamping and 'a thermo-transferable dry decoration system invented in the years 30-40 in Europe (Germany and England) as an innovative process than hand application of gold leaf.
Today the hot press has a very wide variety of substrates which can be used. In fact, the simplicity of use and development of new machines for different applications have encouraged the spread of the foil in multiple markets.
The hot stamping foil is a decorative package consisting of multiple layers. The decoration is printed in gravure printing on a polyester film pretreated with a release agent and a protective varnish.
The gravure technology involves the incision of the decoration on more cylinders (one for each printing color). The decoration is, if necessary, subsequently metallized, and finally the thermo-adhesive agent is applied.
In addition to classic hot stamping foils, they are now also available products for the industrial coding such films for thermal transfer and ink pads.
Giusto Manetti Battiloro, a leading company with over 40 years of experience in the production of foil for hot stamping, is now able to offer a complete range of products for different applications.
